OPENING
WITH THE SUBTITLE — YOU LIVE ON THE WAVE,
… again, I know that I don’t know.
As I write this text, I have so many thoughts that I want to share with the world that it’s hard to grasp. I will try to briefly summarize the idea of this event. As is often the case with me, the idea of organizing an opening came out of the blue, and I started to act immediately, without thinking. Even before they had time to doubt, I picked up the phone and within a few hours I had an appointment. Foolish to some, typical to me. An impulse comes and I follow it, my creative work works exactly on this principle.
My first opening took place three years ago, it was a beautiful event, a beautiful meeting with beautiful people. Now it feels like a hundred years have passed since then. I still have the same dreams and goals, I’m still me, but actually completely different. Stronger, more confident, more confident in your self-worth and more fulfilled. I’m still me, just a few life experiences wiser. It feels strange to write it so openly, let alone say it out loud? Phew! Actually, it’s a very beautiful feeling, liberating.
I’ve been searching hard for years, trying different roles, different perspectives and exposing myself to different situations. I changed everything from the ground up, I experimented with my life, because the slogan “Life is a game” is no stranger to me. I also find myself standing on several foundations at once. I feel like a bridge that spans the river of life and has several supporting pillars. Are the foundations strong enough? …Only time will tell. I used to be uncomfortable with this, because people couldn’t fit me in, they put me in boxes that I didn’t quite feel comfortable in, because I knew that I didn’t belong in just one box. I contain within me all that a soul’s life can contain, so why put it in boxes?
Therefore, this opening was born out of a desire to share this beautiful journey of life and creation with loved ones. I also love meeting, sharing and spending quality time with people, so why not do it big and in style?
The main themes that connect this event are — Womanhood — Multi-potentiality — Sensitivity — Vulnerability — Courage. I chose the subtitle On the wave of life because that’s exactly how I feel. My life is like a wave. Strong. Sometimes I can swim in it, but often I’m drowning and it takes a while to catch my breath. Since childhood, I felt like a water element, like a surfer, even though I was afraid of water. The water felt so strong that it scared me. Now with the passage of time I see that it is my inner strength that I feared, the water just mirrored it. The first time I ran into the water with a surfboard, I felt it. I was touching myself from the inside. It was a big turning point in my life and since then I have been following my inner compass more intuitively. Even though I sometimes catch my breath, I believe that I will always get back on the board and ride the beautiful wave of life with all the pomp and elegance!
For this beautiful day, I also invited a person close to me to cooperate. A soul who is a great inspiration to me and with whom I know our paths did not cross by chance. Ivanka Dostálova is a woman of many talents, from photography to painting. Outside of artistic creation, he devotes his whole life to science in order to save human lives. Her life story is as powerful as she is. I am grateful that she has accepted the invitation to be a part of this opening, it will make this evening all the more intimate, emotional and powerful.
I also felt a great need to return some of the goodness that had been given to me in my life. I would not be who I am without the support of many people, foundations and good angels. This evening will therefore be partly a charity event in favor of the Restart project of the Veronika Kašáková Endowment Fund. This project has brought so much light and peace to my life and that’s why I know how much support projects like this are needed. A silent auction will also take place throughout the evening. We cordially invite you together on 31.5. 2023 from 18:30 until 23:00 at the Opening of Dana Lišková and Ivana Dostálova with the subtitle “On the wave of life”, which takes place in the beautiful industrial hall of Vnitroblok at Dělnická 32, Prague 7.
The event is open to the public, so feel free to bring along — children, parents, grandmothers…let’s have fun!

DANA LIŠKOVÁ
I am a photographer, videographer, painter, inquisitive soul and a woman who likes to do everything her own way. I’m also a girl who has a big family and loves her friends and everyone who is a part of her life. My home will forever be the children’s home where I was raised to be a lady. My home is also the Krahulík family, who adopted me and unofficially became my “adoptive family.” I love to observe the surrounding world, perceive its colorfulness and transform these perceptions into experiences. When I thought about how to describe myself, I realized that my zodiac sign reflects my personality beautifully. I am a taurus at the crossroads with a gemini and honestly? …it fits quite well. Rather, I see myself as a Gemini who is still maturing into a confident bull.”
Gemini: People with a perceptive, adaptable nature and an intellectual background. These idealists enjoy philosophy and enjoy exploring other people’s opinions. They boast a wide range of interests and live productive and active lives. A Gemini woman hides several personalities within herself. She is creative, friendly, open and cheerful, has a wide variety of hobbies and a wide circle of friends. Her feelings and thoughts move so quickly and unpredictably that it is not easy for others to understand and keep up with her. The stereotype doesn’t really fit her, she doesn’t like unnecessary restrictions, prejudices and conventions.
Taurus: People with a sense for practical and material matters. They have a calm and level-headed nature. When they are passionate about an idea, they are happy to work hard and tirelessly to make it happen. He takes a very responsible approach to life. A Taurus woman is a real lady! She seems very feminine and dignified, with a sense of order, tradition and duty. He values his privacy, appreciates sensual pleasures, admires beauty and art. She is reliable and cares about the satisfaction of those around her. Her emotions are balanced, stable, and she has a sense of order.”
The only thing I will add to this is that these definitions exactly reflect my life and the creation associated with it. My work is a reflection of my life. It is very important to me to create values that I can contribute to society and co-shape a more loving and safe world. I see all people as souls who learn from each other and grow together. I enjoy people and that’s why I observe them, capture them with a camera or while painting. I love getting emotions, fears, insecurities and fears out of them and then working with them and breaking them down. In this, I found my meaning and the path I am gradually taking. Towards where I will be able to help people live their full potential and thereby contribute to the world, because the more satisfied and fulfilled souls, the more beautiful it will be for all of us.

IVANA DOSTÁLOVÁ
I’m a photographer, scientist, woman, mom… who likes peace of mind and movement in life. I am excited to discover everything new. My Aquarian nature suits the flow between pure rationality and exactitude in science, emotionality and dreaminess, which I process and express in painting.
For me, photography is something that naturally connects both of these worlds in my mind, heart and life and intervenes in both at the same time, I find myself deeply human in photography. It is photography that is my passion, that I cannot live without, it is photography that makes my every day different, it is photography that allows me to really see, to see differently, to see the depth and breadth of everything in me and everything that surrounds me Photography is my way of communication, which I always enjoy thinking about, painting is a form of therapy where I let my subconscious work and at the same time I can let go and relax myself, science is my mission.
My journey and means of expression continue to evolve, as with each of us, as I mature and become more aware as a woman, my artistic and photographic expression changes. In my paintings, I often return to the girl’s childhood and in various forms, sometimes with elements of sarcasm and humor, I confront the girlish, vulnerable part of every woman with the gradual recognition of herself and life as such. In the paintings I can imprint my naive self, which can afford to be childishly pure in the world of painting, but also my wild and emotional self, which has the need to visually express itself and the world around, this is freedom. In photography, I have moved from a dream, through a documentary, to deeper studies, through which I express myself on various psychosocial topics and try to connect and strengthen women and specific communities through them. I have been working with women in some form for almost twenty years, first as a clinical scientist, later as a photographer, now combining the two together. I enjoy the constant change and movement in my creations, and especially meeting people, their life stories, their souls, which together we try to capture visually. I create and research because both creation and science give my life freedom and allow me to experience various dimensions of living, being, perceiving and experiencing. I create and research to do my bit towards a more loving and healthy world for all.

Václav Truksa: In the summer of 2017, I went to Scotland to pick raspberries, but the harvest was much smaller than expected, so I was fired after a week. I started playing on the street because I didn’t have a return ticket. During my two weeks of playing, I fell in love with street art so much that in the summer of 2019, after graduating from high school, I decided to pursue music full time.
Nicolas Višovan — bachata dancer
Born in Prague, but with half-Ukrainian blood running through his veins. A quarter of a century young dancer aspiring to teach bachata not only in the Czech Republic. Under the leadership of the M& E Prague Bachata dance school is the two-time Prague champion of the Jack& Jill amateur bachata competition
KAO.OUI — DJ
Kao has a specific style with a specific story. her greatest success so far is establishing cooperation with brands such as Cartier, Chivas Regal, ELLE, PSN, Longchamp, Nike, Topshop, Vogue, Soho, Becherovka, Palladium, OD Kotva. , NYX, Hilton hotels, Vanguard, Tančící dům Prague. She is a world class talented woman.
VERONIKA REI — writer / copywriter
Verunka is a sensitive, perceptive and strong woman. She is behind the Brave Women project, you can also find her articles in newspapers, and her author’s work in the form of the book “I adore you forever” is inherent to her, which brought us together. She enriches the evening with a short reading from a book of her choice.
ZDENĚK BÁRTKO — athlete
Zdenda grew up in a children’s home, but you wouldn’t know it in any way. A fighter who is not only gifted musically but also physically. He competes in Calisthenics and will enrich the program with several elements.
